SSC JE 2024 Exam Date

The day for the release of the official notification is the first important date in the SSC JE recruitment process. The commission reveals the upcoming event and their dates in the notification itself and the rest of the dates are announced on the official website in due course. As of now the application process has been successfully concluded on the official website.

The SSC JE Tier 1 Exam 2024 is scheduled to be conducted on 5th, 6th and 7th June 2024.  The application status and admit cards will be available for the reference of the candidates 7-10 days prior t the exam.

SSC JE 2024 Selection Process

The candidates willing to appear for the various stages of getting selected for the various Junior Engineer posts offered by the Staff Selection Commission will need to go through  three stages of examination. The first two stages will be Computer Based Tests and the third will be document verification. SSC JE 2024 Exam Pattern

To prepare well for the Computer Based Tests, the candidates should know the exact pattern of questions that they will face on the exam day. It shows the distribution of questions and the weightage of marks across various sections and other important details.

SSC JE Paper 1 will be an objective-type exam and will have 3 sections: General Knowledge, General Awareness, and General Engineering for civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering. The exam duration of paper 1 is 2 hours and there will be 1/3rd negative marking in this stage of the selection process.

SSC JE Paper 2 will have questions only from the technical subject as per the educational qualification of the candidate. The questions in this stage will also be of multiple-choice type. Candidates will be allowed to bring the Log table, slide rule, Calculator, and Stream table along with them for the exam. There is a negative marking of 1/3rd mark for every wrong answer and the exam will be conducted for 2 Hours.
